✦ Our team's opinion ✦

A graphic and contemporary rug, whose contrast between the ecru background and the large swathes of blue, deep blue, gray, and olive green we particularly love. The design evokes an abstract composition, with simple yet striking shapes. A piece full of character, which instantly adds an artistic and colorful touch to the interior.

Boujaad Rugs - Between Tradition and Modernity.
Boujaad Berber rugs are woven in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, originally by a Berber tribe from the town of Boujaad. Boujaad rugs are 100% wool rugs woven on traditional looms. They are authentic rugs whose patterns and colors are reminiscent of vintage rugs. This authenticity also stems from the fact that Boujaad rugs are rural rugs, more rustic than their Beni Ouarain cousins. The colors, very diverse, are sometimes faded, prematurely worn to give them a patina that evokes antique rugs. However, they are indeed new rugs, recognizable by their designs, a subtle blend of flat, faded colors and traditional Berber symbols and patterns. Boujaad rugs are intended to be a kind of dictionary of Berber symbols and motifs, easily identifiable from one rug to another. They originate from the imagination of the women who weave them, drawing on an ancestral artisanal and cultural tradition.
